Buckling and Post-Buckling Analysis of Cracked Plates by The Boundary Element Method [PDF]
PhDThis thesis presents boundary element formulations for buckling and nonlinear buckling analysis of plates. Dual boundary element formulations are also presented for linear and nonlinear buckling, and large deformation analysis of crack behaviour in

Mechanism of Mechanical Analysis on Torsional Buckling of U-Shaped Bellows in FLNG Cryogenic Hoses
Floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) cryogenic hoses can be employed for the transmission of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Usually, U-shaped metal bellows can be applied as the inner lining of FLNG cryogenic hoses.

Buckling of bipolarly prestressed closely-spaced built-up member [PDF]
The study analysed a bisymmetric closely-spaced built-up member, pin-supported at both ends. Itwas bipolarly pre-stressed with a displacement (BPCSBM), and loaded with an axial compressive force. Maximum internal gap between the chords was assumed in the

Study on Axial Compression Stability of Q345 Large-Section Angle Steel Columns
With the growing demand for the bearing capacity of columns, large-section angle steel (LAS) columns have been widely adopted. Q345 is the most commonly used steel, but research on the axial compression stability of LAS columns mainly focuses on steels ...

Buckling analysis of thin-walled functionally graded sandwich box beams [PDF]
Buckling analysis of thin-walled functionally graded (FG) sandwich box beams is investigated. Material properties of the beam are assumed to be graded through the wall thickness.

Stability Landscape of Shell Buckling
We measure the response of cylindrical shells to poking and identify a stability landscape, which fully characterizes the stability of perfect shells and imperfect ones in the case where a single defect dominates. We show that the landscape of stability is independent of the loading protocol and the poker geometry.
