Bulk-viscosity-driven asymmetric inflationary universe

Physical Review D, 1988
A primordial net bosonic charge is introduced in the context of the bulk-viscosity-driven inflationary models. The analysis is carried through a macroscopic point of view in the framework of the casual thermodynamic theory. The conditions for having exponential and generalized inflation are obtained. A phenomenological expression for the bulk-viscosity

Bulk-Driven Current Differencing Transconductance Amplifier

Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 2011
Low-voltage (LV) low-power (LP) integrated circuit design is becoming a leading trend in VLSI technology, particularly in special portable applications. In this paper, the principle of a bulk-driven MOS transistor is employed in the design of a novel LV LP current differencing transconductance amplifier (CDTA).

Linearity Improvement of Bulk Driven Floating Gate OTA Using Cross-Bulk and Quasi-Bulk Techniques

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2020
In this paper, two highly linear OTAs are presented using a combination of three linearization techniques: floating gate, bulk driven, and source degeneration. In the first OTA, bulk driven floating gate MOSFETs are used as input transistors. The input signal given at the bulk terminals of these input transistors are in the opposite phase of the input

Intercalation‐Driven Reversible Control of Magnetism in Bulk Ferromagnets

Advanced Materials, 2014
An extension in magnetoelectric effects is proposed to include reversible chemistry-controlled magnetization variations. This ion-intercalation-driven magnetic control can be fully reversible and pertinent to bulk material volumes. The concept is demonstrated for ferromagnetic iron oxide where the intercalated lithium ions cause valence change and ...

Bulk flow driven by a viscous monolayer

Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 2015
The flow in the bulk driven by a viscous interfacial film set in motion by a rotating sharp circular knife edge has been examined through experiments and computations. In the experiments, the water surface is covered by an insoluble monomolecular film of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC), a molecule of wide interest in biology and medicine.

Low-voltage bulk-driven mixer with on-chip balun

2008 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2008
The design and simulation of a pair of bulk-driven low-voltage down-conversion mixers with on-chip transformer baluns is presented. The addition of a passive balun improves gain and can provide impedance matching for optional off-chip image-reject filters.

0.4-V bulk-driven differential-difference amplifier

Microelectronics Journal, 2015
A new solution for an ultra-low-voltage, low-power, bulk-driven fully differential-difference amplifier (FDDA) is presented in the paper. Simulated performance of the overall FDDA for a 50nm CMOS process and supply voltage of 0.4V, shows dissipation power of 31.8µW, the open loop voltage gain of 58.6dB and the gain-bandwidth product (GBW) of 2.3MHz for

A low voltage bulk driven downconversion mixer core

ISCAS'99. Proceedings of the 1999 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems VLSI (Cat. No.99CH36349), 2003
This paper describes a CMOS mixer core, operating at 1 GHz, where the RF signal is input via the bulk. The advantages of a bulk driven mixer are low power supply voltages and low power consumption. Simulations have confirmed that a power supply as low as 1 V can be used to power the mixer core, which drains approximately 1.6 mA. Although the mixer core

Extremely Low-Voltage Bulk-Driven Tunable Transconductor

Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 2016
A design solution for bulk-driven tunable transconductor capable of working under extremely low supply/consumption with rail-to-rail input common-mode range is presented in this work. The proposed transconductor topology consists of six bulk-driven CMOS inverters, and it uses a very simple biasing circuit for the transconductance tuning.

A 0.5-V Bulk-Driven Active Voltage Attenuator

Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 2019
In this work, a novel differential active voltage attenuator that is capable of operating under low supply voltage and power consumption is presented. The proposed attenuator is based on bulk-driven MOS devices. Thanks to the use of the fully balanced differential structure, the attenuator demonstrates improved common-mode rejection capability.
