Simple vector bundles on plane degenerations of an elliptic curve [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
In 1957 Atiyah classified simple and indecomposable vector bundles on an elliptic curve. In this article we generalize his classification by describing the simple vector bundles on all reduced plane cubic curves. Our main result states that a simple vector bundle on such a curve is completely determined by its rank, multidegree and determinant.

Semistable Higgs bundles and representations of algebraic fundamental groups: Positive characteristic case [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
Let $k$ be an algebraic closure of finite fields with odd characteristic $p$ and a smooth projective scheme $\mathbf{X}/W(k)$. Let $\mathbf{X}^0$ be its generic fiber and $X$ the closed fiber. For $\mathbf{X}^0$ a curve Faltings conjectured that semistable Higgs bundles of slope zero over $\mathbf{X}^0_{\mathbb{C}_p}$ correspond to genuine ...

Stable Parabolic Bundles over Elliptic Surfaces and over Orbifold Riemann Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1995
For an elliptic surface $q:Y \to \Sigma$, with prescribed singular fibres, Stefan Bauer proved directly via algebraic geometry that the stable bundles over $Y$, whose chern classes are pull backs from $\Sigma$, correspond to the stable (V-)bundles over $\Sigma$. We show, via a short proof in differential geometry, a generalisation to stable parabolic

Comparison of sinoventricular conduction in children and adults using bundle of His electrograms.

open access: yesBritish heart journal, 1973
Sinoventricular conduction was measured in 28 children aged 3 days to 12 years, during diagnostic catheterization by recording His bundle electrograms.

Remarks on motives of moduli spaces of rank 2 vector bundles on curves [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Let $C$ be an algebraic curve of genus $g \geq 2$ and $M_L$ be the moduli space of rank 2 stable vector bundles on $C$ whose determinants are isomorphic to a fixed line bundle $L$ of degree 1 on $C.$ S. del Bano studied motives of moduli spaces of rank 2 vector bundles on $C$ and computed the motive of $M_L.$ In this note, we prove that his result ...

Boundedness of semistable principal bundles on a curve, with classical semisimple structure groups [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1998
In characteristic zero, semistable principal bundles on a nonsingular projective curve with a semisimple structure group form a bounded family, as shown by Ramanathan in 1970's using the Narasimhan-Seshadri theorem. This was the first step in his construction of moduli for principal bundles. In this paper we prove boundedness in finite characteristics (

His bundle pacing–is it the final frontier of physiological pacing ?–A single centre experience from the Indian sub–Continent

open access: yesIndian Heart Journal, 2020
Background: Long term right ventricular pacing can have deleterious effects on left ventricular (LV) function. His bundle pacing (HBP), a novel procedure can probably circumvent this setback.

Foliated Stratified Spaces and a De Rham Complex Describing Intersection Space Cohomology [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
The method of intersection spaces associates cell-complexes depending on a perversity to certain types of stratified pseudomanifolds in such a way that Poincar\'e duality holds between the ordinary rational cohomology groups of the cell-complexes associated to complementary perversities.

Classifying approximable algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Approximable algebras were defined by Chen in his proof of the Fujita theorem in the arithmetic context. These were shown to not be necessarily subalgebras of section rings of big line bundles in a previous prepreint of the author. Here, we show that whilst approximable algebras are not necessarily subalgebras of section rings of big line bundles, they
