Electrodeposited Functional Coatings for On‐Demand Electro‐Responsive Drug Release and Cell Shape Transformation

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Graphical abstract showing the biocompatible conductive polymer film which releases the entrapped drug as a response to a stimulus (applied voltage) along with mitigating bacterial growth. ABSTRACT Chronic wounds affect millions of people worldwide, and their treatment can often be ineffective, resulting in substantial healthcare costs.

Interfacial Energy and Composition Controlled Self‐Stratification in Polyurethane Coatings

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study elucidates self‐stratification in polyurethane coatings driven by interfacial energies and composition‐dependent phase separation. Using XPS, SIMS, and Raman analyses, we reveal rapid formation of hydrophobic and hydrophilic layers and substrate‐dependent interfacial structures.

An Open‐Label Phase 1b Study of the Safety, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Clinical Activity of ANX005 in Patients with Huntington's Disease

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Complement activation is implicated in Huntington's disease; ANX005 is a potent inhibitor of component C1q. ANX005 exhibited a generally manageable safety profile with rapid reduction in C1q in the cerebrospinal fluid. Functional ability on composite Unified Huntington's Disease Rating Scale and total functional capacity was maintained, with potential ...
