Synthesis, X‐Ray Analysis, Anticancer Activity, Computational, and in Silico Studies of New Thiophene Pyrazole Conjugates

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
Two new thiophene–pyrazole derivatives, 8a and 8b, were synthesized from thiophene 3 precursor and fully characterized. The structure of 8a was confirmed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, which revealed a nonplanar conformation stabilized by NH···O hydrogen bonding and weak intermolecular contacts.

Comparative Density Functional Theory Insights Into B16C16 and Si16C16 Nanocages for Sensing Oil‐Derived Fault Gases in Energy and Industrial Systems

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
B16C16 and Si16C16 nanocages were investigated via DFT for sensing transformer oil fault gases (C2H4, CO, H2S). BC nanocages exhibit stronger adsorption, reduced energy gaps, enhanced electrical conductivity, and positive sensing responses compared to SiC. NCI and QTAIM analyses reveal covalent and partially covalent interactions.

Inactivation of Listeria monocytogenes and Enterococcus faecalis by Bubble‐Based Plasma Treated Water: Reactive Species Characterization and Numerical Simulation Insights

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 23, Issue 6, June 2026.
Simulating bubbled dynamics reveals that higher airflow improves mass transfer. Plasma‐treated water (PTW) effectively inactivates L. monocytogesns and E. faecalis. PTW generates no new toxic byproducts, confirming its environmental safety and offers a safe, sustainable disinfection approach for enhanced food safety and environmental protection ...
