Characterization of human C4a anaphylatoxin.

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1981
Human C4a anaphylatoxin was isolated from a Cls digest of the fourth component of complement. Isolation required a two-step procedure involving ion-exchange chromatography on CM-Sephadex C-50 and gel filtration on Sephadex G-50. Characterization of C4a indicated it is a highly cationic polypeptide (pI = 9.0-9.5) containing 77 residues with Mr = 8,759 ...

1,2-Dimethyl-4,5-diphenylbenzene determined on a Bruker SMART X2S benchtop crystallographic system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The title compound, C(20)H(18), has two crystallographically independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The phenyl substituents of molecule A are twisted away from the plane defined by the central benzene ring by 131.8 (2) and -52.7 (3)degrees.

Genetically predicted complement component 4A expression: effects on memory function and middle temporal lobe activation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background The longstanding association between the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) locus and schizophrenia (SZ) risk has recently been accounted for, partially, by structural variation at the complement component 4 (C4) gene.

Single‐Nucleus Multi‐Omics Reveals Hypoxia‐Driven Angiogenic Programs and Their Epigenetic Control in Sinonasal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐nucleus multi‐omics profiling of sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma unveils a hypoxia‐driven angiogenic axis. A specific hypoxic tumor subpopulation orchestrates endothelial tip cell differentiation via epigenetically regulated ADM and VEGFA secretion.

Vanishing of the four-loop charge renormalization function in N=4 SYM theory

open access: yes, 2011
We calculate the renormalization constants of the maximally extended N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories in the dimensional reduction scheme up to four loops. We have found, that the beta-function is zero both from gauge and Yukawa vertices.Comment: 6

Intermolecular Dehydrative Coupling Reaction of Arylketones with Cyclic Alkenes Catalyzed by a Well-Defined Cationic Ruthenium-Hydride Complex: A Novel Ketone Olefination Method via Vinyl C–H Bond Activation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The cationic ruthenium−hydride complex [(η6-C6H6)(PCy3)(CO)RuH]+BF4− was found to be a highly effective catalyst for the intermolecular olefination reaction of aryl ketones with cycloalkenes.

APOE‐stratified Proteomic and Metabolomic Analysis Reveals Mitochondrial Dysfunction Inflammation and Lipid Dysregulation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A large‐scale multiomic dataset (proteomic and metabolomic) comprising 3,060 plasma samples were analyzed to identify proteins, metabolites, pathways, and protein‐associated drugs linked to Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) independently of apolipoprotein E (APOE). AD was associated with a distinct molecular signature that captures.

(1R,2S)-Methyl 1-(4-chloro-phen-yl)-3-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetra-hydro-cyclo-penta-[b]indole-2-carboxyl-ate 0.2-hydrate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The title compound, C(19)H(14)ClNO(3)·0.2H(2)O, crystallizes with five mol-ecules and a disordered water mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. Four of the five mol-ecules form hydrogen-bonded dimers via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds towards another symmetry ...
