Community Perceptions and Economic Drivers of Hilsa Fishery Conservation in Riverbank Villages of Bangladesh

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 6, Issue 2, April 2026.
The graphical abstract presents the conservation of Hilsha fishery in Chandpur riverbank villages with a highlight on a survey of 255 households. Revenues, age, and fishing experience are the main factors of Willingness to Accept (WTA). Diversification of income accounts 94 percent of WTA.

PPQSort: Pattern‐Defeating Parallel Quicksort

open access: yesConcurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, Volume 38, Issue 7, April 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper presents PPQSort (Pattern‐defeating Parallel Quicksort), a new parallel quicksort algorithm that provides high performance and ease of use. PPQSort uses C++ threads for parallelization, achieving efficient sorting without external libraries and allowing seamless integration across different computing environments.

Recursive and Cyclic Constructions for Double‐Change Covering Designs

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Designs, Volume 34, Issue 4, Page 198-209, April 2026.
ABSTRACT A double‐change covering design (DCCD) is a v‐set V and an ordered list L of b blocks of size k where every pair from V must occur in at least one block and each pair of consecutive blocks differs by exactly two elements. It is minimal if it has the fewest blocks possible and circular when the first and last blocks also differ by two elements.

Anytime Lexicographic Enumeration of the Pareto Front in Multi‐Objective Combinatorial Optimisation

open access: yesJournal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, Volume 33, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Multi‐objective combinatorial optimisation problems are widespread in real‐world scenarios, including resource allocation, scheduling and logistics, where multiple competing objectives need to be optimised simultaneously. In industrial contexts, lexicographic optimisation is often used to solve these problems, requiring the decision‐maker (DM)

‘You Load Sixteen Tons, What Do You Get?’. The Jodłowno Hoard (Pomerania, Poland) as Evidence of Long‐Distance Contacts in the Early Iron Age

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 68, Issue 2, Page 193-211, April 2026.
ABSTRACT This study presents multifaceted analyses of metal artefacts from the Jodłowno Hoard (Northern Poland), revealing that the metal originated from Iberian polymetallic ore deposits. Transported as raw ingots via Atlantic maritime routes, this copper was reworked locally into regionally distinctive forms.
