Oral cadmium chloride intoxication in mice: Effects of chelation
Toxicology, 1988In acute oral cadmium intoxication, the immediate target organ is the gastrointestinal tract. In this study, toxic effects following oral administration of CdCl2 to mice by stomach tube included intestinal paralysis, constipation and necrosis of the gastrointestinal epithelia. Tissue damage in liver, kidneys and testes developed in survivors due to the

The EFG at cadmium in chlorides of indium
Hyperfine Interactions, 1983Using111In as a probe, TDPAC measurements have been performed on the 173–247 keV γ-γ cascade in111Cd. Information on nuclear quadrupole interaction parameters is reported for α-In Cl, In Cl2 and In Cl3.

The Effect of Chloride on the Availability of Cadmium
Journal of Environmental Quality, 1984AbstractCadmium complexes readily with chloride and sulfate; hence, increases in soil salinity may influence its availability. To evaluate the effect of chlorinity, a major component of soil salinity, the following study was undertaken. A greenhouse experiment was conducted with Swiss chard (Beta vulgaris Cicla) as the biological indicator of available

Comparative Hepatotoxicity of Inhaled Cadmium Chloride and Cadmium Oxide
Journal of the American College of Toxicology, 1987The toxicity of inhaled aerosols of cadmium chloride (CdCl 2 ) and cadmium oxide (CdO) on hepatic biochemical function was compared. Male rats were exposed for 2 hours to concentrations of 0.45 and 4.5 mg Cd/m 3 .

Diffusion of cadmium in pure and cadmium doped silver chloride
Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 1972Abstract The tracer-sectioning technique was used to study the diffusion of cadmium in pure and cadmium doped silver chloride. Below 280°C the data are represented by D = 8·22 × 10 −6 exp (−0·57 eV/ kT ) cm 2 /sec and above 280°C by D = 4·26 exp (− 1·20 eV/ kT ) cm 2 /sec.

Routine patch testing with cadmium chloride
Contact Dermatitis, 1977During a 22‐month period, 2.0% cadmium chloride in distilled water was included in our routine patch test series. Twenty‐five of 1502 eczema patients showed reactions (1.7 %), but none had any relevant history. At serial dilution test only one patient reacted to 1.0 % cadmium; all the other dilutions applied gave negative reactions.

Thermodynamics of cadmium chloride in formamide
Transactions of the Faraday Society, 1968The e.m.f. of the cells Cd/CdCl2/Cl–/AgCl/Ag(cell 1) and Cd; Hg (2 phase amalgam)/CdCl2/Cl–/AgCl/Ag (cell 2) has been measured using HCl and KCl solutions in formamide, at various Cl– concentrations at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30°C. The results are used to calculate the standard potential of the Cd/CdCl2 electrode in formamide, and to calculate ΔG and ΔH ...

Action of cadmium chloride on sensory ganglia

The authors have previously reported on the uptake and distribution of cadmium in unionids, experimentally exposed to cadmium chloride. The purpose of the present investigation was to study the effect of metal chelation on cadmium kinetics, including metal elimination in the post-exposure phase. Generally, chelation of ionic metal by natural substances

The rate of the reaction of zinc and cadmium with tricarbonylcyclopentadienylmolybdenum chloride and tricarbonylcyclopentadienyltungsten chloride and the yield of the final products of these reactions were studied as influenced by the solvent nature. Kinetic features of oxidation of zinc and cadmium with tricarbonylcyclopentadienylmolybdenum chloride ...
