Stress distribution in the trochlear notch [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
n 16 cadaver humeroulnar joints, the distribution of subchondral mineralisation was assessed by CT osteoabsorptiometry and the position and size of the contact areas by polyether casting under loads of 10 N to 1280 N.

Computed Tomographic Pattern of Physiological Intracranial Calcifications in a City in Central Africa

open access: yesGlobal Journal of Health Science, 2011
Intracranial calcifications underlie certain brain diseases which may be de novo or systemic. But calcifications un-connected to pathologies are classified physiological. To evaluate physiological intracranial calcifications in Douala with establishment of earliest age range of detection.Prospective study of brain computed tomograms was done from April ...

Formation of Stable Amorphous Calcium Phosphate and Collagen Assemblies by a Versatile Spray‐Drying Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) microparticles with long‐term and thermal stability are prepared with or without collagen using a scalable one‐pot spray‐drying process. Under simulated physiological conditions, they crystallize into biomimetic bone mineral and, when combined with collagen, form extrudable, fibrillar bone‐like 3D constructs.

Cone-Beam CT Evaluation of Intracranial Physiological Calcifications by Age and Gender

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Health Sciences
Objective: To assess the prevalence of physiological intracranial calcifications detected in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images in a group of Turkish population by age and gender. Methods: Full head CBCT images of 1000 patients (535 men, 465 women) with age range of 6-91 years were retrospectively analyzed.
