Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke
In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

Green Ca-source of cockle shells converted to calcium acetate for environmental sustainability
This work aimed to synthesize and characterize the calcium acetate monohydrate (Ca(CH3COO)2·H2O) from the exothermic reaction between CaCO3 powder derived from cockle shells with three different acetic acids (8, 10, and 12 mol L−1) concentrations by the ...

2D MOF with Intrinsic Porosity for Colorimetric Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Detection
An uncommon 2D MOF with intrinsic in‐plane porosity that can be mechanically exfoliated undergoes a distinct and reversible colour change upon exposure to various volatile organic compounds. ABSTRACT In this work, we report an uncommon 2D metal–organic framework (MOF) with intrinsic in‐plane porosity that undergoes a distinct and reversible colour ...

Combined effect of low dose levels of lead and zinc on bone tissue of rats
Pollution of the environment remains a pressing problem of the global level. The greatest concern is caused by heavy metals, especially lead, which to the greatest extent - up to 90–95 % accumulates in bone tissue of the human body. Aim.

This work reports a direct, biocompatible method to synthesize UiO‐66, enabling one‐step encapsulation of proteins without compromising crystallinity or activity. Using advanced in situ and ex situ techniques, the study reveals that proteins integrate concurrently with MOF growth, forming crystalline protein@UiO‐66 nanoparticles, and provide insight ...
