Existence and multiplicity results for homoclinic orbits of Hamiltonian systems
Homoclinic orbits play an important role in the study of qualitative behavior of dynamical systems. Such kinds of orbits have been studied since the time of Poincare.

Stochastic calculus of variations
A theory of stochastic calculus of variations is presented which generalizes the ordinary calculus of variations to stochastic processes. Generalizations of the Euler equation and Noether's theorem are obtained and several conservation laws are discussed.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Periodic Solutions for a Class of 2n-Order Ordinary Differential Equations
Periodic solutions of high-order nonlinear differential equations are fundamental in dynamical systems, yet they remain challenging to establish with traditional methods.

Notions of affinity in calculus of variations with differential forms
Ext-int. one affine functions are functions affine in the direction of one-divisible exterior forms with respect to the exterior product in one variable and with respect to the interior product in the other.

Calculus of Variations and its Applications [PDF]

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The classical theory of calculus of variations for generalized functions
We present an extension of the classical theory of calculus of variations to generalized functions. The framework is the category of generalized smooth functions, which includes Schwartz distributions, while sharing many nonlinear properties with ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
