Synthetic Ligands of Myeloid C‐Type Lectin Receptors

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 13, 14 July 2026.
Binding of ligands to C‐type lectin receptors (CLRs) on myeloid cells can lead to an array of cellular responses. Exploitation of these receptors for therapeutic purposes requires high‐affinity ligands. This review surveys the diversity of synthetic ligands of myeloid CLRs in the context of binding, signaling, and downstream effects, as well as ...

THE STRUCTURE OF THE TETRA-POTASSIUM SALT OF CALIX[4]ARENE DIHYDROXYPHOSPHONIC ACID [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry Journal of Moldova: General, Industrial and Ecological Chemistry, 2007
The solid-state structure of the tri-potassium calix[4]arene dihydroxyphosphonate salt is presented. In this structure, two potassium cations bridge between layers of dimeric calixarene diphosphonate units and two other potassium cations bridge along the

O‐Terphenyl‐basierte Familie konjugierter Makrozyklen: Selektive Erkennung von Phenylalanin im Wasser und Interaktion mit Insulin

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 24, 8 June 2026.

o‐Terphenyl‐Based Family of Conjugated Macrocycles: Selective Recognition of Phenylalanine in Water and Interaction With Insulin

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 24, 8 June 2026.
This study presents the synthesis and binding properties of a new family of o‐terphenyl‐based macrocycles, TP[n] (n = 2‐8). The trimer variant efficiently binds phenylalanine in water with a 10‐fold selectivity compared to other amino acids and aromatic neurotransmitters.

Attempted synthesis of a meta-metalated calix[4]arene

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
An evidence for the formation of a rare meta-metalated inherently chiral calix[4]arene is described. Our strategy involved using a mesoionic carbene to direct C–H activation, but proved to form an unexpectedly unstable intermediate that was identified ...

Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 51, 25 June 2026.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.
