The extension of the taxon cycle model to island plants: insights from the Canarian vascular flora
ABSTRACT Taxon cycle models describe eco‐evolutionary patterns of lineage colonization, diversification, and decline across archipelagos, inferring an important role for competition amongst ecologically similar taxa in driving concurrent niche changes.

A mutation‐based approach (MBA) to rebalance defect datasets improves recall, particularly in cross‐project prediction, but increases false alarms and does not consistently enhance MCC or AUC. These findings highlight both the potential and limitations of mutation‐based rebalancing in software defect prediction.

Evaluating Bedrock Depth Proxies as Representations of Subsurface Controls on Runoff Generation
This study evaluated six bedrock depth proxy variables for predicting hydrologic signatures linked to runoff generation. Results show that subsurface controls are difficult to detect using current large‐sample representations, primarily due to limitations in how subsurface structure is represented and aggregated.

ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF LACTIC ACID PRODUCING BACTERIA FROM CAMEL MILK
Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) were isolated from camel milk by culturing the camel milk on specific media and pure culture was obtained by sub culturing. Purification of culture was confirmed by Gram's staining and identified by different bio-chemical tests.
