The Implications of Ungulate Population Dynamics for Conservation and Recovery Efforts in the Middle East

Using long‐term population data from Arabian oryx and sand gazelle populations across the Middle East, we found consistent evidence of negative density dependence, with annual growth rates declining as population size increased, alongside evidence of temporal lag effects in Arabian oryx.
