Pose estimation for camera calibration and landmark tracking
Proceedings., IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002An algorithm is proposed for pose estimation based on the volume measurement of tetrahedra composed of feature-point triplets extracted from an arbitrary quadrangular target and the lens center of the vision system. Using a pinhole model (lens distortion is taken into account separately) and a quadrangular target, for which only the six distance ...

Pose Estimation for General Cameras Using Lines
IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, 2015In this paper, we address the problem of pose estimation under the framework of generalized camera models. We propose a solution based on the knowledge of the coordinates of 3-D straight lines (expressed in the world coordinate frame) and their corresponding image pixels.

Pose Estimation for Multi-camera Systems
2004We propose an approach for pose estimation based on a multi-camera system with known internal camera parameters. We only assume for the multi-camera system that the cameras of the system have fixed orientations and translations between each other. In contrast to existing approaches for reconstruction from multi-camera systems we introduce a rigid ...

Camera Pose Estimation with Unknown Principal Point
2018 IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2018To estimate the 6-DoF extrinsic pose of a pinhole camera with partially unknown intrinsic parameters is a critical sub-problem in structure-from-motion and camera localization. In most of existing camera pose estimation solvers, the principal point is assumed to be in the image center.

Pose Estimation for Non-Central Cameras Using Planes
Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems, 2014In this paper we study pose estimation for general non-central cameras, using planar targets. The method proposed uses non-minimal data. Using the homography matrix to represent the transformation between the world and camera coordinate systems, we describe a non-iterative algorithm for pose estimation.

Head Pose Estimation in First-Person Camera Views
2014 22nd International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2014In this paper we present a new method for head pose real-time estimation in ego-vision scenarios that is a key step in the understanding of social interactions. In order to robustly detect head under changing aspect ratio, scale and orientation we use and extend the Hough-Based Tracker which allows to follow simultaneously each subject in the scene. In

Camera Pose Estimation Based on Angle Constraints
2010A novel linear algorithm to estimate the camera pose from known correspondences of 3D points and their 2D image points is proposed based on the angle constraints from arbitrary three points in 3D point set. Compared with Ansar's N Point Linear method which is based on the distance constraints between 3D points, due to more strict geometric constraints,

Camera Pose Estimation by an Artificial Neural Network
2006Reconstruction of a three-dimensional scene using images taken from two views is possible if the relative pose of the cameras is known. A traditional approach to estimating the pose of the cameras uses eight pairs of corresponding points and involves the solution of a set of homogeneous equations. We propose a multi-layered feedforward network solution.

Estimation of camera poses by parabolic motion
Optics and Precision Engineering, 2014A new method was proposed for the camera pose estimation based on specific geometric properties of parabolic motion. The intersection of lines which was the projections of trajectories of a free falling subject from different locations was first calculated.

A simple algorithm for camera pose estimation
2012 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation, 2012In this paper, we present a simple algorithm for calibrated camera pose estimation. The algorithm is based on the object space error, and capable of iteratively determining the pose by solving a group of linear equations from the correspondences of arbitrary n reference points and their image projections. Experimental results show that our algorithm is
