Evidence for a second isoform of the catalytic subunit of cAMP-dependent protein kinase.
We have used a previously characterized mouse cDNA clone for the catalytic (C) subunit of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (Uhler, M. D., Carmichael, D. F., Lee, D. C., Chrivia, J. C., Krebs, E. G., and McKnight, G. S. (1986) Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U. S. A.

Role of cyclic AMP in the control of cell-specific gene expression [PDF]
Genes have to be expressed in specific cell types at appropriate times of development dependent on external signals. cAMP signaling occurs in all cells, thus raising the question of how this signal transduction pattern is integrated into mechanisms ...

This review elucidates how cancer cell metabolic reprogramming—across glucose, lipid, amino acid, and nucleotide pathways—remodels the tumor microenvironment to suppress anti‐tumor immunity and promote immune escape. Targeting these metabolic axes offers promising strategies to overcome immunotherapy resistance and enhance cancer treatment.

Spatiotemporal and functional characterisation of the Plasmodium falciparum cGMP-dependent protein kinase. [PDF]
Signalling by 3'-5'-cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) exists in virtually all eukaryotes. In the apicomplexan parasite Plasmodium, the cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG) has previously been reported to play a critical role in four key stages of the ...

SAV1 in Cooperation With FKBP52 Participates in Implantation
The MST‐SAV1 complex modulates FKBP52 phosphorylation to fine‐tune PR activity, ensuring timely uterine transition to receptivity under estrogen signaling for implantation. Stromal SAV1 scaffolds MST1/2‐mediated FKBP52 phosphorylation via noncanonical Hippo to promote PR activity.

Modulation of Transcription Factor Sp1 by cAMP-dependent Protein Kinase*
Transcription factor Sp1 is a phosphoprotein whose level and DNA binding activity are markedly increased in doxorubicin-resistant HL-60 (HL-60/AR) leukemia cells.

Hederagenin is identified as a GABAA1‐targeting natural compound that suppresses morphine‐associated reward by restraining Ca2+–CaMK–cAMP–CREB signaling in ventral tegmental dopaminergic neurons. RVG29‐modified liposomal delivery further enhances brain accumulation and behavioral efficacy, providing a mechanistically defined strategy for natural ...

Regulation of MMP-3 expression and secretion by the chemokine eotaxin-1 in human chondrocytes
Background Osteoarthritis (OA) is characterized by the degradation of articular cartilage, marked by the breakdown of matrix proteins. Studies demonstrated the involvement of chemokines in this process, and some may potentially serve as diagnostic ...

Liquid‐Responsive Shape‐Memory Nanofiber‐Reinforced Scaffolds for Cartilage Repair
A liquid‐responsive shape‐memory, nanofiber‐reinforced QCG scaffold combines conformal defect filling, an aligned architecture that is structurally permissive for endogenous cell infiltration, and sustained KGN release. This integrated design enhances BMSC viability, migratory activity, and chondrogenic differentiation and promotes hyaline cartilage ...
