Yeasts that specialize in flower nectar play an important role in pollination ecology. Metschnikowia reukaufii and Metschnikowia koreensis were the most prevalent nectar yeasts found in our field sites. Bee pollinators exhibited different behavioural responses to nectar yeasts in field experiments. Bees visited more flowers with M.

ABSTRACT Background Bloodstream infections remain a major cause of mortality among cancer patients. Pathogen surveillance and risk stratification tools are key to improved management. This study describes trends in causative pathogens and explores risk factors for positive blood cultures (PBCs) and post‐infection mortality in cancer patients.

Targeting the microbiota‐miRNA‐protease axis: A new therapeutic avenue in melanoma
Modulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) turnover is central to melanoma progression and metastasis, driven largely by ECM proteases. This review highlights the epigenetic regulation of ECM proteases by microRNAs and their roles in melanoma growth, invasion, and immune modulation.

Insights into the catalytic mechanism of formate dehydrogenases from different microbial sources
This integrated study combines experimental enzyme kinetics with QM/MM simulations to map the catalytic mechanisms of four formate dehydrogenases at the atomic level. This approach reveals the key determinants of catalytic efficiency and guides the rational design of biocatalysts for effective CO2 reduction—a crucial step towards sustainable ...

From hepatic to hematopoietic: LRH‐1's expanding cellular repertoire to the immune system
The nuclear receptor LRH‐1 is a well‐characterized regulator of endodermal tissue. Yet, increasing evidence indicates that LRH‐1, although expressed at low levels, is also a critical regulator of the hematopoietic system. LRH‐1 regulates the immune system by contributing to immune cell‐specific functions.
