Multivariate Multiple Regression Analysis Based on Principal Component Scores to Study Relationships between Some Pre- and Post-slaughter Traits of Broilers

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences, 2011
The main purpose of this study is to show that how can we use multivariate multiple linear regression analysis (MMLR) based on principal component scores to investigate relations between two data sets (i.e.pre- and postslaughter traits of Ross 308 ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Spatio-chromatic adaptation via higher-order canonical correlation analysis of natural images. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Independent component and canonical correlation analysis are two general-purpose statistical methods with wide applicability. In neuroscience, independent component analysis of chromatic natural images explains the spatio-chromatic structure of primary ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

A Comparison of Relaxations of Multiset Cannonical Correlation Analysis and Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Canonical correlation analysis is a statistical technique that is used to find relations between two sets of variables. An important extension in pattern analysis is to consider more than two sets of variables.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Detection for gene-gene co-association via kernel canonical correlation analysis

open access: yesBMC Genetics, 2012
Background Currently, most methods for detecting gene-gene interaction (GGI) in genomewide association studies (GWASs) are limited in their use of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) as the unit of association.

Determination of the Relationship Between Ultrasonic Measurements at Different Fattening Times and Carcass Properties

open access: yesTürkiye Tarımsal Araştırmalar Dergisi, 2020
This study was conducted to estimate the relationships between the ultrasonic measurements and carcass characteristics of Akkaraman lambs at different intensive feeding periods with a multivariate correlation (canonical).

Quantum canonical ensemble and correlation femtoscopy at fixed multiplicities

open access: yes, 2016
Identical particle correlations at fixed multiplicity are considered by means of quantum canonical ensemble of finite systems. We calculate one-particle momentum spectra and two-particle Bose-Einstein correlation functions in the ideal gas by using a ...
