Partition coefficients and capacity factors of some nucleoside analogues

Journal of Chromatography A, 1990
The AIDS epidemic has brought into focus the development of antiviral agents, of which nucleoside analogues are an important class. The single most important physico-chemical property of a chemotherapeutic agent is its hydrophobicity. This paper reports the hydrophobicity, determined as log partition coefficient (P) by the shake-flask method, of 25 ...

Prediction for calculating the grinding capacity coefficient of coal charges.

Journal of Coal Chemistry, 2022
It is shown that the method for determining the grinding ability according to Hardgrove remains and it is the most common, informative and universal of all the methods for assessing the physical and mechanical properties of solid fossil fuels from the point of view of their industrial processing.

The heat transfer equation with an unknown heat capacity coefficient

Sibirskii zhurnal industrial'noi matematiki, 2020
Under study are the inverse problems of finding, together with a solution u(x,t) of the differential equation cut − Δu + a(x, t)u = f(x, t) describing the process of heat distribution, some real c characterizing the heat capacity of the medium (under the assumption that the medium is homogeneous).

Flow Capacity Coefficient of Strainers

2013
The values of hydraulic specifics of the prototypes of new DN 50, DN 80, DN 100, DN 150 and DN 200 strainers have proven their enhanced hydraulic properties. These are a result of both increased screening surface of the filter insert, as well as the improved shape of the filter bodies.

The Capacity Coefficients of Spherical Electrodes

Proceedings of the Physical Society of London, 1910
Formulae have been given by Poisson, Kelvin, Kirchhoff, Clerk Maxwell and others for the capacity coefficients of spherical conductors at appreciable distances apart. With the exception of Kirchhoff's formulae, these formulae are rarely, if ever, used in practice.

Recommendations for Choice of Coefficients in Pile Bearing Capacity

Deep Foundations 2002, 2002
In this paper we have shown results of research on the influence of the geotechnical environment on pile bearing capacity. Experimental research was carried out at full scale and consisted of test loading of 3 (three) piles. Field investigation for defining geotechnical models was carried out by cone penetration tests.

Theoretical calculation of heat capacity by using third virial coefficient

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017
We have presented a new formula to determine the heat capacity for real gaseous. This formula is a simple and more accurate analytical approximation for heat capacity using third virial coefficient over Lennard-Jones (12-6) potential. The calculation results of heat capacity show a good agreement with the data in the literature.
