Functional Principal Components Analysis and the Capacity Coefficient

2010
The capacity coefficient is a well established measure of the efficiency of processing combined sources of information. It has been applied to measure cognitive processes ranging from audio-visual integration to face perception. Recently, the capacity coefficient has also been applied in various clinical situations.

A Characterization of the Performance of Ordering Methods in TTRP with Fuzzy Coefficients in the Capacity Constraints

2016
Recently, the Truck and Trailer Routing Problem (TTRP) has been tackled with uncertainty in the coefficients of constrains. In order to solve this problem it is necessary to use methods for comparison fuzzy numbers. The problem of ordering fuzzy quantities has been addressed by many authors and there are many indices to perform this task.

Asymptotic Expansions with Error Bounds for the Coefficients of Capacity and Induction of Two Spheres

SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 1996
This paper presents asymptotic expansions for the coefficients of capacity and induction of two spheres which hold as the distance between the spheres tends to 0. These are derived from integral representations involving elliptic functions. Bounds for the remainder terms are given.

Lumped Capacity Systems and Overall Heat Transfer Coefficients

2015
This chapter introduces two practical heat transfer concepts; lumped capacity and overall heat transfer coefficients. The term “lumped capacity system” means that a finite region of space is considered to be at some average temperature, even though there could be hot or cold spots in it.

Comparing Capacity Coefficient and Dual Task Assessment of Visual Multitasking Workload

2017
Capacity coefficient analysis offers a theoretically grounded alternative approach to subjective measures and dual task interference assessment of mental workload. Workload efficiency is a human information processing modeling construct defined as the efficacy with which the system responds to increases in the number of cognitive processes.
