Capillary Flow Impairment and Functional Capillary Density
International Journal of Microcirculation, 1995Functional capillary density is variable in both normal and diseased tissue. When this parameter is defined as the number of capillaries that possess red blood cell transit, changes in functional capillary density reflect mechanisms that modulate the entrance of red blood cells into the capillaries.

Canine capillary and combined capillary-cavernous haemangioma
Journal of Comparative Pathology, 1989Six cases of capillary haemangiomas in the skin and one case in the tongue of dogs are described. There was no breed or age predisposition (average age was 8.9 years), but there was a prevalence of male dogs. In three cases, cavernous haemangioma-like structures were also found, so these tumours are considered to be combined capillary and cavernous ...

Nanoinjector for Capillary Electrophoresis and Capillary Electrochromatography
Analytical Chemistry, 2003A rotary valve nanoinjector was devised for use in capillary electrophoresis (CE) and capillary electrochromatography (CEC). A fused-silica capillary tip was inserted in a small through-hole in the rotor. The narrow and short capillary tip, with an inner volume of 6-24 nL, was embedded in the hole using epoxy resin.
