Caprine thymoma

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Veterinary Pathology
History: 6-year-old, neutered male, goat was submitted for necropsy. Clinical history included 3 weeks of lameness following possible trauma which was gradually improving. The day prior to euthanasia this goat was acutely lethargic and anorexic. On physical exam, the goat was thin and weak. The animal was euthanized due to quality-of-life concerns.

Molecular Characterization of a Caprine Adenovirus

open access: yesIntervirology, 1996
Restriction endonuclease site maps were constructed for the genome of a caprine adenovirus (GAdV), strain NC90-7261, which was isolated in 1990 from a 3-year-old goat with encephalitis. Genomic GAdV DNA was digested with seven restriction endonucleases (RE).

Opinion and report of the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) on the assessment of the impact of fox population dynamics on public health

open access: yesFood Risk Assess Europe, Volume 3, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) can be hunted as a game species. It may also be listed as a “species likely to cause damage” (ESOD – the acronym in French), for public health reasons among others. Conversely, benefits linked to the presence of foxes are also put forward, such as the predation of rodents carrying zoonotic agents.

Transcriptomic Profiles and Functional Correlates of Cancer‐Related Fatigue: A Cross‐Sectional Study in Women Undergoing Cancer Treatment

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Cancer Care, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background and Objectives: Cancer‐related fatigue is a multifactorial condition that affects most people undergoing chemotherapy. To elucidate potential biological underpinnings of fatigue, this study tested correlations between patient‐reported fatigue and (1) functional measures and (2) transcriptomics of whole blood.

Peptide Nucleic Acids: From Origami to Editing

open access: yesChemPlusChem, Volume 89, Issue 11, November 2024.
Peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) combine the programmability of native nucleic acids with the robustness and ease of synthesis of a peptide backbone. These designer biomolecules have demonstrated tremendous utility across a broad range of applications, from the formation of bespoke biosupramolecular architectures to biosensing and gene regulation.
