Drafting the calmodulation playbook: Emerging structural insights into transient receptor potential channel regulation by calmodulin

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Calmodulin (CaM) is a ubiquitous calcium (Ca2+) sensor that translates intracellular Ca2+ signals into modulation of hundreds of effector proteins including ion channels. CaM is increasingly recognized as a key regulator of the transient receptor potential (TRP) channel family, yet the underlying ‘calmodulation playbook’ is only ...

Low‐threshold cutaneous mechanoreceptors on the foot sole have enhanced sensitivity when skin temperature is elevated

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Schematic illustration of microneurography recordings used to examine the effects of local skin heating on cutaneous mechanoreceptor responses in the human foot (left panel). A microelectrode inserted into a peripheral nerve records single‐unit activity from tactile afferent fibres while controlled mechanical stimuli are applied ...

Brachial Plexus Wrapping by Free Perforator Fat Flap for Treatment of Recurrent Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT A 35‐year‐old woman with recurrent neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome underwent supraclavicular neurolysis and brachial plexus wrapping using a free DIEP flap. At 2‐year follow‐up, pain and functional scores (VAS, DASH, SF‐36) significantly improved. Free fat flaps offer a low morbidity option for reducing perineural fibrosis in RNTOS.
