Influence of irrigation on yield and primary and secondary metabolites in two chilies species, Capsicum annuum L. and Capsicum chinense Jacq

, 2020
The effects of water stress on plant growth, yield, primary metabolites (sugars, organic acids, ascorbic acid) and secondary metabolites (total phenolic content, capsaicin and dihydrocapsaicin) accumulation, were evaluated for greenhouse production.

Anther Culture in Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.)

2016
Anther culture is the most popular of the techniques used to induce microspore embryogenesis. This technique is well set up in a wide range of crops, including pepper. In this chapter, a protocol for anther culture in pepper is described. The protocol presented hereby includes the steps from the selection of buds from donor plants to the regeneration ...

Extension of postharvest shelf-life in green bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) using exogenous application of polyamines (spermidine and putrescine).

Food Chemistry, 2019
To extend the postharvest shelf-life of green bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.), an exogenous application of two polyamines, Spermidine and Putrescine (SPD-PUT), was tested in multiple combinations (10 μM plus 10 μM, 20 μM plus 20 μM, and 30 μM plus 30 μM)

Capsicum annuum L.
