A Safety Control Method of Car-Following Trajectory Planning Based on LSTM

open access: yesPromet (Zagreb), 2023
This paper focuses on the potential safety hazards of collision in car-following behaviour generated by deep learning models. Based on an intelligent LSTM model, combined with a Gipps model of safe collision avoidance, a new, Gipps-LSTM model is ...

Improved Car-Following Strategy Based on Merging Behavior Prediction of Adjacent Vehicle From Naturalistic Driving Data

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
As the fundamental control strategy of intelligent vehicles, car-following control directly affects vehicle performance. In practical driving, drivers usually predict the behavior of vehicles in the adjacent lane before modulating the driving strategy of

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

SIRT4 positively regulates autophagy via ULK1, but independently of HDAC6 and OPA1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cells expressing SIRT4 (H161Y), a catalytically inactive mutant of the sirtuin SIRT4, fail to upregulate LC3B‐II and exhibit a reduced autophagic flux under stress conditions. Interestingly, SIRT4(H161Y) promotes phosphorylation of ULK1 at S638 and S758 that are associated with inhibition of autophagy initiation.

Understanding Driver Car-Following Behavior Using a Fuzzy Logic Car-Following Model

open access: yes, 2012
Recently, automatic systems that control driving speeds and headway distances while following a vehicle have been developed worldwide. Some products, such as adaptive cruise control systems, have already been installed in upper segments of passenger vehicles.

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Stability Analysis and Numerical Simulation of an ICV Car-Following Model Based on Multi-Sensor Data Fusion

open access: yesIEEE Access
To comprehensively characterize vehicle driving behavior under multi-sensor fusion in intelligent and connected traffic, this study proposes a Multi-Sensor Data Fusion Car-Following (MSDF-CF) model for intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs).

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

A vehicle type-based approach to model car following behaviors in simulation programs (case study: Car-motorcycle following behavior)

open access: yesIATSS Research, 2019
Traffic simulation models often neglect the important role of motorcycles and assume a flow of various combinations of cars. This paper addresses how much different would be the behavior of a car driver while following a motorcyclist compared to cases in
