A Green and Highly Selective Approach to Copper‐Catalyzed Transfer Hydrodeuteration of Alkenes and Alkynes Using D2O

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
Highly selective deuteration is now possible with a green and more environmentally benign reaction protocol for Cu‐catalyzed transfer hydrodeuteration of alkenes and alkynes. This was applied to the synthesis of precisely deuterated alkanes, including deuterated complex molecules and high enantiopurity isotopomers. Precisely labeled small molecules are

Emerging Trends in Organic Photoreactions Utilizing Disulfides

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 21, 4 June 2026.
Disulfides are versatile, nontoxic alternatives to metal photocatalysts. This review explores their role as photoactivated thiyl‐radical precursors and bifunctional catalysts (HAT/electron shuttling) in diverse transformations. Strategies for electronic tuning and development into recyclable heterogeneous materials are highlighted for sustainable ...

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment

open access: yesAging and Cancer, Volume 7, Issue 2, Page 35-51, June 2026.
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Conformational Landscapes in the Ground and Excited States Dictate Circularly Polarized Excimer Emission: A Thermodynamic–Kinetic Interplay in Carbazole Dimer Systems

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 23, 1 June 2026.
Covalently linked carbazole dimers exhibit intense excimer‐based circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). A simple propylene‐tethered dimer achieves glum ≈ 0.01 in the violet region—among the highest for small organic emitters without heavy atoms. Conformational mapping reveals CPL is governed by thermodynamic/kinetic control of emissive conformers ...

Intermolecular Aggregation‐Induced Delayed Fluorescence Scintillators for Ultrahigh‐Resolution X‐Ray Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 34, 19 June 2026.
An intermolecular AIDF strategy enables an organic X‐ray scintillator (OXST) that resists concentration quenching and efficiently utilizes singlet and triplet excitons. The AIDF emitter, embedded in a polysulfone matrix, yields bright, flexible, and transparent scintillation screens with ultralow detection limits and high spatial resolution, offering a
