Novel Electroluminescent Polymers Derived From Carbazole

Synthetic Metals, 2003
We report synthesis and characterization of an entirely new class of polycarbazole-based main chain copolymers with varieties of aromatic rings and heterocycles as a comonomer by Suzuki coupling reaction. The copolymers are soluble in common organic solvents and highly fluorescent.

Photophysical processes of some carbazole derivatives

Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: Chemistry, 1995
The photophysical properties of phenylcarbazole (PHCz), α-naphthylcarbazole (α-NACz), β-naphthylcarbazole (β-NACz) and N-(3-pyridyl)-carbazole (PyCz) were studied. α-NACz and β-NACz exhibit twisted intramolecular charge transfer fluorescence in polar solvents.

New photochromic bisthienylethene derivatives containing carbazole

Journal of Physical Organic Chemistry, 2007
AbstractSome new photochromic bisthienylethene (BTE) derivatives containing carbazole were synthesized by Suzuki coupling method. All compounds were characterized by 1H NMR spectra, 13C NMR, mass spectra, etc. Their optical, photochromic, and electrochemical properties were described.

Carbazole derivative synthesis and their electropolymerization

Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry, 2016
This review article investigates the hot topics by presenting the latest advances in carbazole and its derivative synthesis and their electropolymerization processes. The carbazole-based compounds are particularly attractive due to their important photochemical and thermal stability and good hole-transport ability.

Photophysical processes of some carbazole derivatives and benzimidazole derivatives

Chemical Physics Letters, 2006
The photophysical properties of N-(1-naphthyl)-carbazole (1-NACZ), N-(2-naphthyl)-carbazole (2-NACZ), N-(1-naphthyl)-benzimidazole (1-NABI) and N-(2-naphthyl)-benzimidazole (2-NABI) were studied. The emission wavelengths of 1-NACZ and 2-NACZ were very sensitive to the polarity of solvents.

Carbazole Derivatives: Latest Advances and Prospects

2022
In recent years, plenty of research has been aimed at the multiple properties of different carbazole derivatives. Carbazoles are important aromatic heterocyclic compounds isolated from plants, such as those of the genera Ochrosia, Murraya, Glycosmis, and Clausena, or synthetically obtained.
