Practical Microwave Synthesis of Carbazole Aldehydes for the Development of DNA-Binding Ligands
Microwave formylation of carbazole derivatives was investigated and 3-monoaldehydes were obtained in high yield. A potential DNA-binding ligand, 3-[(3-ethyl)-2-vinylbenzothiazolium]-9-N-ethyl carbazole iodide, was synthesized and characterized including ...

Synthesis, Antibacterial, and Antifungal Activities of Novel Pyridazino Carbazoles
Strategy to synthesize novel carbazole, that is, 2,3-dihydro-2-phenyl-6H-pyridazino[4, 5-b]carbazole-1,4-dione (2), is developed as key reaction. This novel compound showed ideal reactivity toward different functional groups like methyl, carboxylic ...

Exciton Binding Energy of Phosphorescent Emitter Molecules in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes
Energy level alignment is key to efficient OLED design, yet determining LUMO energies remains challenging. A methodology based on field‐induced dissociation and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations is presented to extract LUMO energies of iridium‐based phosphorescent emitters from their exciton binding energy.

Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

Role of the Recombination Zone in Organic Light‐Emitting Devices
This review summarizes the critical role of the recombination zone in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). We highlight that broadening the recombination zone in OLEDs based on emissive layers with balanced charge transport and high photoluminescence quantum yields provides a promising route toward achieving both long operational lifetime and high ...
