Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2022We discovered tetrahydro-γ-carboline sulfonamides as a new antischistosomal chemotype. The aryl sulfonamide and tetrahydro-γ-carboline substructures were required for high antischistosomal activity. Increasing polarity improved solubility and metabolic stability but decreased antischistosomal activity. We identified two compounds with IC50 values

Journal of Chromatography A, 1967Abstract Chromatography of a series of seventy-three β-carbolines was carried out on both paper and thin-layer plates in acidic, basic, and neutral solvents. The best solvent for the separation is the neutral and polar solvent such as chloroform-methanol on thin-layer chromatography with Silica Gel G.
