Direct combination of carbon structure with optoelectronics crystal: thermal behavior of implanted carbon in lithium niobate crystal at near surface

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2020
The thermal motion mechanism of carbon (C) in lithium niobate (LiNbO _3 ) crystal was briefly studied, which provides experience and direction for the experimental parameters of graphene production by direct implantation of carbon ions into LiNbO _3 ...

Unlocking the Power of Quercetin‐Encapsulated Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles: A Multifunctional Approach to Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGNs) are investigated for bone regeneration given their remarkable structural and functional properties. MBGNs are functionalized with Mn and Cu and incorporated with quercetin, a natural flavonoid exhibiting antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.

Metal Ions in Activated Carbon Improve the Detection Efficiency of Aflatoxin-Producing Fungi

open access: yesToxins, 2019
Aflatoxins (AF), produced by several Aspergillus species, are visible under ultraviolet light if present in high amounts. AF detection can be improved by adding activated carbon, which enhances the observation efficiency of weakly AF-producing fungi ...

Anomalous Increase in Carbon Capacitance at Pore Sizes Less Than 1 Nanometer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Carbon supercapacitors, which are energy storage devices that use ion adsorption on the surface of highly porous materials to store charge, have numerous advantages over other power-source technologies, but could realize further gains if their electrodes

Adjustment of Coatings Morphology and Particle Distribution of Layered Silicates by Freeze‐Drying for Improved Gas Barriers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Freeze‐drying of layered silicate is the key to get coatings with superior gas barrier. Freeze‐drying of layered silicates modified with dodecylamine (DDA) is a highly effective technique for the preparation of barrier pigments that significantly mitigate the permeation of oxygen, water vapor, and hydrogen through polymer films containing these ...

XUV Absorption Spectra of Carbon Ions

open access: yesInternational Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1988
AbstractThe photoabsorption spectra of the carbon ions have been obtained by using two laser-produced plasmas. The photoionization cross-section of the CV has been absolutely measured and the value at threshold, σ=(4.7±0.5) × 10−19cm2, as well as its behaviour at higher energies agrees quite well with the theoretical calculations.
