Fully Bio‐Based Epoxy Resins from Liquefied Wood for Chemically Recyclable Wood Coatings
A bio‐based and chemically recyclable epoxy resin derived from liquefied wood and its use in wood coatings is presented. The resin exhibits mechanical, thermal, and water‐resistant properties comparable to commercial coatings and can be chemically recycled and reused. This approach provides fast access to glossy and fully biobased durable wood coatings

Synthesis of New Benzofuran-2-Carboxylic Acid Derivatives
Novel ethyl ester and methylamide of 5-[bis(2-chloroethyl)amino]-7-methoxybenzofuran-2-carboxylic acid as well as (2-hydroxy-1,1-dimethylethyl)amides of 5-bromo- and 5,7-dichlorobenzofuran-2-carboxylic acid were synthesized and characterized.

Slow but complete, two state unfolding/refolding of lysozyme in "tuned" ~6M guanidinium carboxylate solutions [PDF]
We using differential scanning calorimetry of the unfolding process to identify conditions in which the pseudo two-state refolding of thermally denatured lysozyme can be observed to occur on time scales of hours, in solutions that approach 6M in guanidinium cation, Gdm+. Remarkably, the fraction of lysozyme re-folded at 25 C reaches, and remains at 1.0.
