Gender dynamics of tropical wildmeat systems: A systematic map of women's roles and influence
Abstract Wildmeat is a vital natural resource globally, which must be managed sustainably to avoid livelihood insecurity, species decline and biodiversity loss. Women have a pivotal role in harvesting, processing and distributing wildmeat, yet their contributions are often overlooked.

Abstract The town of Gamba in southwest Gabon represents an exceptional example of how the development of an extractive industry (in this case oil production) may impact wild meat consumption in an area of global importance for biodiversity. Studies in the 1990s identified an active wild meat trade; however, no studies have been undertaken since, and ...

Demand for chicken consumption in Indonesia tends to increase every year. Broiler chickens were slaughtered at short age than past years, recently about 4 to 6 weeks. Total of 28 to 42 day old broiler chicks were distributed to completely randomized design in factorial scheme (4,5 and 6 weeks old) and 2 (male and female).

Take flight: predation risk induces wing polyphenism and dispersal in the aphid Myzus persicae
Predator risk above a critical density induces winged morphs in Myzus persicae, promoting dispersal and reducing predation compared with wingless aphids. This density‐dependent phenotypic plasticity enhances survival but may compromise biological control by facilitating aphid dispersal.
