Raw and Steam Cooked Carcass Yields of Guinea Fowl

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1980
Abstract Carcass yields and cooked meat yields were determined for 12-week-old keets. Cooked yields were determined after steam cooking at 105 C for 75 min. Eviscerated carcass yields, including the neck and giblets, of 76.8%, 76.9%, and 76.9% were obtained for males, females, and combined sexes, respectively.

A Symbiotic Improves Performance and Carcass Yield of Broilers

open access: yesJournal of Applied Poultry Research, 2019
SUMMARY In order to evaluate the effects of a symbiotic on 1–42-d-old broiler chicks, performance and carcass yield (CY), as well as litter concentrations of phosphorus and nitrogen were measured in a trial using 640 male chicks (Cobb 500). Birds were randomly distributed into 4 treatments with 8 replicates (pens) of 20 birds each.
