Realization of features of immune response by dynamical system models and a possible mechanism of memory of antigen invasion [PDF]
Among features of real immune responses which occur when antigens invade a body, there are two remarkable features. One is that the amount of antibodies produced in the secondary invasion by the same antigens is more than 10 times larger than that in the primary invasion. The other is that more effective antibodies which can neutralize the antigens more

(A) Post hoc pairwise comparisons between the four studied groups regarding the log2 of serum fold change of CircFUNDC1. There were significant differences between CRC, UC, or CD and controls. p values (Controls vs. UC = < 0.001, Controls vs. CD = < 0.001, Controls vs. CRC = < 0.001, UC vs. CD = 1.000, UC vs. CRC = 0.194, CD vs. CRC = 0.255).

Mathematical modeling of antigenicity for HIV dynamics [PDF]
This contribution is devoted to a new model of HIV multiplication motivated by the patent of one of the authors. We take into account the antigenic diversity through what we define "antigenicity", whether of the virus or of the adapted lymphocytes. We model the interaction of the immune system and the viral strains by two processes.

Analysis of tumour markers in esophageal carcinoma with different age groups
Background: Esophageal cancer has been reported in various countries, including Saudi Arabia, India and United States. Many biomarkers have been used to detect cancers at an early stage to improve the survival rate of esophageal cancer.

Fluctuations and Changes in Acute Phase Reactive Proteins in Fasting and Nonfasting States
This study investigated the clinical changes in acute‐phase reactive protein (APRPs) assays under fasting and nonfasting conditions. The findings revealed significant fluctuations in APRPs levels at different intervals following a standardized diet. Specifically, clinical bias for serum C‐reactive protein (CRP), interleukin‐6 (IL‐6), procalcitonin (PCT)

Rare event simulation in immune biology: Models of negative selection in T-cell maturation [PDF]
We present a probabilistic T-cell model that includes negative selection and takes contrasting models of tissue-restricted antigen (TRA) expression in the thymus into account. We start from the basic model of van den Berg, Rand, and Burroughs (2001) and include negative selection via individual-based T-cell modelling, in which each T-cell is defined by

Cystic Lesions of the Pancreas [PDF]
With the increasing use of abdominal imaging, cystic lesions of the pancreas are being more frequently detected. These lesions may carry a significant premalignant potential.
