Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

Protective action of propolis on the rat colon carcinogenesis
Propolis is a honeybee product with several biological and therapeutical properties. Its effect on the process of colon carcinogenesis and DNA damage were evaluated in the male Wistar rats using the aberrant crypt foci (ACF) assay and the comet assay ...

Processed Meat and Colorectal Cancer: A Review of Epidemiologic and Experimental Evidence [PDF]
Processed meat intake may be involved in the etiology of colorectal cancer, a major cause of death in affluent countries. The epidemiologic studies published to date conclude that the excess risk in the highest category of processed meat-eaters is ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

The food-derived heterocyclic amines 2-amino-3-methyl-imidazo[4,5-f]quinoline (IQ) and 2-amino-3,8-dimethyl-imidazo[4,5-f]quinoxaline (MeIQx) are carcinogenic in rodents as well as in non-human primates (IQ). Using a short-term liver carcinogenesis model

CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

Assessing the carcinogenic potential of low-dose exposures to chemical mixtures in the environment: the challenge ahead [PDF]
Low-dose exposures to common environmental chemicals that are deemed safe individually may be combining to instigate carcinogenesis, thereby contributing to the incidence of cancer. This risk may be overlooked by current regulatory practices and needs to

Residential ventilation and carcinogenesis [PDF]
Recent and emerging research suggests that acute exposure to CO2 levels as low as 1% alters inflammatory and immune signaling pathways independent of extra or intracellular acidosis; including those effectors that are known to be implicated in the ...
