Biological functions and molecular mechanisms of LINC00961 in human cancer

open access: yesAll Life, 2023
Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are more than 200 bp in length and do not translate into functional proteins. They are involved in inhibiting cell growth, migration, and invasion, and in promoting apoptosis.

Case report: Heterogenous SMARCA4-deficient thoracic non-small cell lung carcinoma with various responses to nivolumab

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2023
SMARCA4-deficient non-small cell carcinoma is an aggressive neoplasm with poor outcome. Several studies have highlighted its immunochemistry, pathophysiology, and underlying mechanisms, but studies of its definite treatment are few.

bcl-2 Protein in Non-Small-Cell Lung Carcinoma

open access: yesNew England Journal of Medicine, 1993
The proto-oncogene bcl-2 encodes a protein that inhibits programmed cell death (apoptosis). The protein is expressed in basal cells in normal human epithelium, but no data are available on the frequency or clinical importance of its expression in carcinoma.

Combined spatially resolved metabolomics and spatial transcriptomics reveal the mechanism of RACK1‐mediated fatty acid synthesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors analyzed the spatial distributions of gene and metabolite profiles in cervical cancer through spatial transcriptomic and spatially resolved metabolomic techniques. Pivotal genes and metabolites within these cases were then identified and validated.

BCL11A interacts with SOX2 to control the expression of epigenetic regulators in lung squamous carcinoma

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Amongst the non-small cell lung cancers, to date, lung squamous cell carcinoma remains the most challenging to treat. Here the authors report BCL11A as an important factor which together with SOX2 can drive lung squamous cell carcinoma development and ...

Crosstalk between gut microbiota and tumor: tumors could cause gut dysbiosis and metabolic imbalance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this research, we analyzed the relationship between gut microbiota and tumor. We discovered that both subcutaneous and metastatic tumors would alter the composition and metabolic function of gut microbiota. Meanwhile, fecal microbiota transplantation also indicated the anti‐tumor role of the gut microbiota, revealing the crosstalk between tumor and ...

Predicting non-small cell lung cancer prognosis by fully automated microscopic pathology image features

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Lung cancer is the most prevalent cancer worldwide, and histopathological assessment is indispensable for its diagnosis. However, human evaluation of pathology slides cannot accurately predict patients’ prognoses.

TREATMENT OF NON-SMALL CELL CARCINOMA OF LUNG IN SENILE PATIENTS

open access: yesGrekov's Bulletin of Surgery, 2015
A comparative analysis of surgical treatment of non-small cell carcinoma of lung was made in 64 patients of senile age and more young patients. It was stated, that preference should be given to the partial lung resections (lob- and segmentectomies).
