Human microbiota colonization and pancreatic ductal carcinoma
Critical Reviews in Microbiology, 2022Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is an aggressive disease with a high mortality rate and a poor prognosis. The human microbiota has been confirmed to participate in oncogenesis and may influence the treatment response to both chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Factors Predicting Recurrence After Resection of Pancreatic Ductal Carcinoma
Pancreatic ductal carcinoma frequently recurs postoperatively, and we analyzed clinicopathological features of patients treated by surgical resection to find predictors of postoperative recurrence.A retrospective cohort study was performed that included 69 patients between 1985 and 2003. Clinicopathologic factors were evaluated for tumor recurrences by

Hematogenous Metastases of Pancreatic Ductal Carcinoma
Pancreas, 1995To investigate the heterogeneity of hematogenous metastases of pancreatic ductal carcinoma, we investigated carcinomatous spread in 130 autopsy cases. Hepatic metastases occurred most frequently, in 81 cases (62%), which may be explained by the fact that all veins draining the pancreas flow into the portal system.

Adjuvant treatment for pancreatic ductal carcinoma
Clinical and Translational Oncology, 2017Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a tumor with a very poor prognosis. Most of the patients are diagnosed in advanced stages of the disease, and 5-year survival rates in these patients remains

Pancreatic ductal cell carcinoma producing pancreatic elastase 1
Journal of Surgical Oncology, 1993AbstractThe elevation of plasma pancreatic elastase 1 in patients with pancreatic cancer is caused by concomitant pancreatitis. There is no report that pancreatic ductal cell carcinoma tissue itself produced elastase 1. A 54‐year‐old woman underwent total pancreatectomy for pancreatic ductal cell carcinoma.

Pancreatic acinar cell carcinomas (ACCs) are clinically and pathologically distinct from pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas (PDAs). Whereas endocrine differentiation has been well shown in ACCs, significant ductal components are rare. This paper reviews the clinicopathologic features of a series of ACCs with prominent ductal differentiation.Cases of ...
