Vorinostat Potentiates Chemoimmunotherapy in Immune‐Enriched Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Immune‐enriched pancreatic cancer does not confer a significant survival advantage. SAHA sensitizes these “hot” tumors to chemoimmunotherapy by disrupting a FASN/PARP9‐driven “metabolic trap” and enhancing CD8+ T cell function. A CD8high/FASNhigh/PARP9high signature identifies patients who are most likely to benefit from the “gemcitabine‐nivolumab‐SAHA”

Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer immunotherapy faces challenges in predicting treatment responses and understanding resistance mechanisms. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) offer powerful solutions for cancer immunotherapy in patient stratification, biomarker discovery, treatment strategy optimization, and foundation model development.

Genomic analysis of the role of transcription factor C/EBPδ in the regulation of cell behaviour on nanometric grooves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
C/EBPδ is a tumour suppressor transcription factor that induces gene expression involved in suppressing cell migration. Here we investigate whether C/EBPδ-dependent gene expression also affects cell responses to nanometric topology.

Pancreatic Duct Stricture That Rapidly Progressed to Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma and Formed a Mass within 3 Months: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Gastroenterology, 2018
The natural growth rate of pancreatic carcinoma in situ with pancreatic duct stricture remains unclear. Herein, we present a case with pancreatic duct stricture that rapidly grew to form a mass lesion within 3 months.

Acute pancreatitis accelerates initiation and progression to pancreatic cancer in mice expressing oncogenic Kras in the nestin cell lineage. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
Targeting of oncogenic Kras to the pancreatic Nestin-expressing embryonic progenitor cells and subsequently to the adult acinar compartment and Nestin-expressing cells is sufficient for the development of low grade pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia ...

Tumor‐Induced Splenic Remodeling: Mechanisms of Systemic Immunosuppression and Emerging Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite the transformative impact of cancer immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint blockade, durable clinical responses remain limited. Increasing evidence indicates that antitumor immunity is governed not only by the tumor microenvironment, but also by systemic immune regulation mediated by peripheral immune organs. Among these, the spleen

Synchronous Pancreas Adenocarcinoma and Breast Infiltrative Ductal Carcinoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The association between pancreas adenocarcinoma and breast infitrative ductal carcinoma is extremly rare. A 55-year-old woman was diagnosed as having a pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The patient underwent a Whipple operation.

Pancreatic Adenosquamous Carcinoma: A Rare Pathological Subtype of Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yes, 2022
Pancreatic adenosquamous carcinoma (PASC) is a rare pathological subtype of pancreatic cancer (PC), with a worse prognosis than pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
