Extracorporeal Albumin Dialysis (OPAL) as Novel Therapeutic Bridging Option in Posthepatectomy Liver Failure

Extracorporeal albumin dialysis (OPAL) effectively reduces bilirubin and improves other laboratory markers in posthepatectomy liver failure, particularly in secondary forms. It may serve as a bridging therapy to support hepatic recovery in critically ill patients, although prospective studies are needed to confirm its impact on survival.

Pharmacological activation of NO‐cGMP signalling attenuates metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis

Background and Purpose Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH) is linked to activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) to α‐smooth muscle actin–positive myofibroblasts that produce collagen and proinflammatory cytokines. Quiescent HSCs express the NO‐cGMP signalling axis.

Microinvasive Papillary carcinoma of the breast with mucinous differentiation and high grade ductal carcinoma in situ: A case report study

A 35-year-old woman had a history of left breast mass without pain, discharge or weight loss. Fine needle aspiration noticed papillary carcinoma. Frozen section diagnosis was invasive carcinoma with papillary feature and free marked margin.

[Ductal carcinoma in situ of the breast].

The Authors report their experience about 127 ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) of the breast. Guidelines for surgical treatment are: radiological or clinical diagnosis, tumor's extension, histological classification, grading and margin status.
