Experimental characterization of the flow and turbulence generated by fractal oscillating grids [PDF]
International audienceInspired from the existing literature on fractal grids in channels and as an extension to classical oscillating grid experiments with simple Cartesian grids, an original investigation of fractal oscillating grid turbulence is here ...

ABSTRACT Purpose To demonstrate the synergy of undersampled radial 2in1‐RARE‐EPI acquisition and nonlinear model‐based reconstruction for accelerated and simultaneous T2, T2*, and R2′ mapping in brains of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). Methods 2in1‐RARE‐EPI combines a RARE module with an EPI module to capture T2 and T2* information.

Laterally Oscillating Trajectory for Undersampling Slices: LOTUS
ABSTRACT Purpose While spiral sampling offers SNR advantages for diffusion MRI, its acceleration with simultaneous multislice remains relatively unexplored. This study introduces Laterally Oscillating Trajectory for Undersampling Slices (LOTUS), which is a 3D spiral‐like k‐space trajectory that aims to minimize g‐factor via controlled incoherent ...

Cartesian Grid Adaption in CFD
We present a single block adaption strategy for 3-D cartesian grids. The adaption process proceeds as an interface with the PHOENICS package. It allows continuous runs or unsteady calculations by reconstructing the interpolated solution on the new mesh at each adaption step.

Efficient Fluid Dynamic Design Optimization Using Cartesian Grids
This report is subdivided in three parts. The first one reviews a new approach to the computation of inviscid flows using Cartesian grid methods. The crux of the method is the curvature-corrected symmetry technique (CCST) developed by the present authors

ABSTRACT Purpose To enable flexible dynamic and DCE MRI with low acoustic noise and high spatiotemporal resolution using zero echo time (ZTE) imaging. Methods This work proposes Arc‐ZTE, a technique in which the readout gradients of ZTE are continuously‐slewed to form arcs in k‐space that are sequentially rotated to yield an incoherent trajectory ...
