Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Applying case-based reasoning technique to retaining wall selection

open access: yes, 1998
Case-based reasoning (CBR) approach recalls and learns from previous cases to resolve or provide recommendations for current problems. This study presents a case-based retaining wall selection system (CASTLES) in which the case base consists of 254 ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Conversational Case-Based Reasoning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Case-based reasoning (CBR) is a problem solving methodology that focuses on reusing lessons obtained from previous (possibly generalized) experiences towards solving new problems (Kolodner, 1993; Aamodt & Plaza, 1994; Watson, 1999; Bergmann, 2002).

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

The Determination of the Action towards the Patient’s Psychological Therapy in the Post-accident Using Case-based Reasoning

open access: yesIJCCS (Indonesian Journal of Computing and Cybernetics Systems), 2018
The accident that occurred to somebody will give much suffering; moreover, if the accident gives the serious injury, such as a broken bone which needs to get more seriously treatment.

Preferences in Case-Based Reasoning

open access: yes, 2016
Case-based reasoning (CBR) is a well-established problem solving paradigm that has been used in a wide range of real-world applications. Despite its great practical success, work on the theoretical foundations of CBR is still under way, and a coherent and universally applicable methodological framework is yet missing.

Integration of linked open data in case-based reasoning systems

open access: yes, 2010
This paper discusses the opportunities of integrating Linked Open Data (LOD) resources into Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) systems. Upon the application domain travel medicine, we will exemplify how LOD can be used to fill three out\ud of four knowledge ...
