Effect of low level contamination on TiAl alloys studied by SIMS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Titanium aluminides are a valuable alternative to superalloys in applications where the ratio resistance/density is important. Since the ordinary production routes lead to high final costs, an alternative might be the use of traditional casting ...

Durability Assessment of TiAl Alloys [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The durability of TiAl is a prime concern for the implementation of TiAl into aerospace engines. Two durability issues, the effect of high temperature exposure on mechanical properties and impact resistance, have been investigated and the results are ...

The Synergism of β‐Cyclodextrin and Fe3+ Enabled Anti‐Swelling Ion‐Conductive Hydrogels for Multimodal Underwater Sensing Aided by Machine Learning Algorithms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An anti‐swelling ion‐conductive hydrogel is developed via β‐cyclodextrin and Fe3+ synergism, enabling reliable underwater motion sensing and Morse code communication. Integrated with machine learning, the system achieves 98.6% accuracy in real‐time underwater handwriting recognition for rapid information transmission.

Cyclic plasticity and strain localization in cast γ-TiAl based alloy

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2011
Abstract Cyclic strain localization and observation of surface relief in nearly lamellar cast γ-TiAl based alloy Ti–48Al–2Nb–2Cr–0.82B (all in at. %) cycled in strain control were experimentally studied. Hysteresis loop area, the cyclic hardening curves, the cyclic stress-strain curve and V H parameter were measured.

Revisiting Target‐Aware de novo Molecular Generation with TarPass: Between Rational Design and Texas Sharpshooter

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TarPass provides a rigorous benchmark for target‐aware de novo molecular generation by jointly evaluating protein‐ligand interactions, molecular plausibility, and drug‐likeness on 18 well‐studied targets. Results show that current models often fail to consistently surpass random baseline in target‐specific enrichment, while post hoc multi‐tier virtual ...

Formation and growth mechanism of the α2 lath within the γ phase in high Nb containing TiAl alloy

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
A high Nb containing TiAl alloy exhibiting near fully lamellar microstructure with nano-lamellar spacing was obtained via heat treatment. The lamellar structure exhibits an average spacing of approximately 75 nm and comprises both γ/α₂ and γ/γ interfaces.
