Scanning Electron Microscopy and Metabolite Measurement Revealed the Stress Mechanism of PS-COOH Microplastics on Rhodotorula mucilaginosa AN5 [PDF]
Microplastics in the marine environment have been paid more and more attention by researchers, and the impact of these substances on marine microorganisms can not be ignored. Studies have shown that PS-COOH Microplastics are harmful to marine molluscs, algae and monads.

SPECTROSCOPY OF CATALASE [PDF]
Catalase is resistant to oxidizing agents; e.g., ferricyanide. It is also resistant to reducing agents; e.g., catalytically activated hydrogen, hydrosulfite, ferrotartrate, cysteine. The hemin group of the enzyme will combine with cyanide, sulfides, nitric oxide, fluoride. It will not combine with carbon monoxide. Catalase is therefore a ferric complex.

The review focuses on four issues that are critical for the understanding of monofunctional catalases. How hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) reaches the active site and outcompetes water molecules to be able to function at a very high rate is one of the issues examined.
