Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Catalytic Reduction of Dinitrogen via Hydroboration
The conversion of dinitrogen (N2) into ammonia (NH3) or other nitrogenous compounds under mild conditions remains highly desirable, given the extremely harsh conditions required by the typically employed Haber-Bosch process, which reacts N2 with dihydrogen (H2) to produce NH3.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

A Review on Selective Catalytic Reduction for NOX Reduction
The energy requirement has increased rapidly all over the world due to industrialisation and the changes ofsubsequent lifestyle. Most of this energy is generated from fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, gasoline, anddiesel. Almost 90% of the present energy source is based on the combustion of fossil fuels and petroleumbased fuels.

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.
