3D Printing of Stretchable, Compressible and Conductive Porous Polyurethane for Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printable porous dopamine‐polyurethane acrylate elastomer results in conductive, stretchable, and compressible structures that can be metallized in situ through catechol‐mediated silver reduction. The resulting material function as both compliant soft robot with a and strain sensors without complex assemblies, enabling fully 3D‐printed soft ...

Radical Scavenging Activities of Biomimetic Catechol-Chitosan Films.

open access: yesBiomacromolecules, 2018
Recent studies showed that melanin-mimetic catechol-chitosan films are redox-active and their ability to exchange electrons confers pro-oxidant activities for the sustained, in situ generation of reactive oxygen species for antimicrobial bandages.

Adhesive Double‐Network Granular Organogel E‐Skin

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce a double‐network granular organogel adhesive for electronic skin, overcoming adhesion and strength trade‐offs. It provides reversible, robust bonding and ionic conductivity, enabling wearable and soft robotic e‐skin. Thanks to the e‐skin adhesive, a soft robotic trunk can recognize touch, temperature, humidity, and acidity.

Near‐Infrared‐Driven Metal–Organic Frameworks‐Based Nanorobots for Controlled Photothermal‐Chemical Therapy Synergistic Induction of Cancer Cell Death

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
To achieve efficient cancer cell death, a bowl‐shaped PDA@UiO‐66@DOX nanorobot drug‐delivery nanoplatform was developed. Near‐infrared irradiation not only drives the nanorobot to exhibit self‐thermophoretic motion and elevates temperature but also triggers Doxorubicin (DOX) release via hyperthermia, enhancing cancer cells uptake of DOX and thereby ...

Crystal structures of sodium-, lithium-, and ammonium 4,5-dihydroxybenzene-1,3-disulfonate (tiron) hydrates

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2018
The solid-state structures of the Na+, Li+, and NH4+ salts of the 4,5-dihydroxybenzene-1,3-disulfonate (tiron) dianion are reported, namely disodium 4,5-dihydroxybenzene-1,3-disulfonate, 2Na+·C6H4O8S22−, μ-4,5-dihydroxybenzene-1,3-disulfonato-bis ...

Finished Genome Sequence of the Indole-3-Acetic Acid-Catabolizing Bacterium Pseudomonas putida 1290. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Use of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) as a carbon, nitrogen, and energy source by Pseudomonas putida 1290 is linked to the possession of a gene cluster that codes for conversion to catechol.

Catalytic molecularly imprinted polymer membranes: Development of the biomimetic sensor for phenols detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Portable biomimetic sensor devices for the express control of phenols content in water were developed. The synthetic binding sites mimicking active site of the enzyme tyrosinase were formed in the structure of free-standing molecularly imprinted ...
