1. We define absolute sensitivity as (voltage/illuminance) and incremental sensitivity as the peak-to-peak amplitude of the first-order (Wiener) kernels. 2. Incremental sensitivity of the horizontal cells is the local slopes of the Michaelis-Menten equation and that of more proximal neurons is the Fechner slope.

Catfish Stings in Mississippi

We reviewed a series of 83 catfish sting cases from inland hospitals (Belzoni and Indianola) and a coastal hospital (Pascagoula) to identify the type and severity of injury, as well as the type of treatment and its effectiveness. Oral cephalosporin was adequate in treating early infections.

Catfish stings to the hand

Catfish skin toxin and the venom from their dorsal and pectoral spines may cause a menacing sting. Although these stings are often innocuous, severe tissue necrosis may occur. The hand is the most common site of catfish stings. Two cases of catfish stings of the hand are presented.
