In Vivo Incorporation of Multiple Unnatural Amino Acids [PDF]
Unnatural amino acid (UAA) incorporation is an invaluable technique that is seeing increased use. THG73 is an amber suppressor tRNA used to incorporate > 100 residues at the UAG, amber stop codon, in Xenopus oocytes.

The two drug transporters OATP1B3 and OCT1 are expressed at the basolateral membrane of human hepatocytes. In a search for potential interacting proteins a modified yeast‐two‐hybrid screen (DUALmembrane screen) identified OCT1 as an interaction partner for OATP1B3.

A New Family of Proteins (rBAT and 4F2hc) Involved in Cationic and Zwitterionic Amino Acid Transport: a Tale of Two Proteins in Search of a Transport Function [PDF]
ABSTRACT The currently identified cDNA clones of mammalian amino acid transporters can be grouped into five different families. One family is composed of the proteins rBAT and the heavy chain (hc) of the cell surface antigen 4F2. RNAs encoding these two proteins induce a system bo,+-like (rBAT) and a system y+L-like (4F2hc) activity in ...

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

In utero gene expression in the Slc39a8(neo/neo) knockdown mouse
Slc39a8 encodes ZIP8, a divalent cation/bicarbonate symporter expressed in pluripotent mouse embryonic stem cells, and therefore ubiquitous in adult tissues; ZIP8 influxes Zn2+, Mn2+ and Fe2+.

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

The principal feature of killing of Candida albicans and other pathogenic fungi by the catonic protein Histatin 5 (Hst 5) is loss of cytoplasmic small molecules and ions, including ATP and K(+), which can be blocked by the anion channel inhibitor 4,4'-diisothiocyanatostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid. We constructed C. albicans strains expressing one, two,
