Comparative Study between Ultrasound Guided Quadratus Lumborum Block versus Caudal Block for Postoperative Analgesia in Lower Abdominal Surgery in Pediatrics [PDF]
Background: There is growing evidence of the utilization of regional anesthesia in pediatric patients scheduled for lower abdominal surgery.Aim: To assess the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block (QLB) with ultrasound-guided caudal

Combined caudal anesthesia in endourological operations in infants
In pediatric practice caudal anesthesia is increasingly being used as a component of combined anesthesia. Aim. To determine the feasibility and benefits of the combined-caudal epidural anesthesia in anesthesiology maintenance of endourological surgery

The KIF6‐RBP Complex Orchestrates mRNA Transport Required for Sperm Flagellar Assembly
Two homozygous deleterious KIF6 variants are identified in unrelated men with impaired sperm motility. Mouse models and multi‐omics analyses reveal that KIF6 cooperates with the RNA‐binding proteins FMRP and FXR1 to deliver mRNAs essential for sperm flagellar assembly, linking disrupted mRNA transport to reduced abundance of key structural and ...

Caudal ropivacaine-clonidine: A better post-operative analgesic approach
The aim was to determine qualitative and quantitative aspects of caudal block, haemodynamic effects, and post-operative pain relief of ropivacaine 0.25% versus ropivacaine 0.25% with clonidine for lower abdominal surgeries in paediatric patients.

THBS1+ Macrophages Exacerbate Modic Changes via SDC4‐Dependent Activation of NLRP3 Inflammasome
The illustration of THBS1+ macrophages exacerbate MCs via SDC4‐dependent activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. THBS1+ macrophage subpopulation was identified in MCs through single‐cell RNA sequencing. C. acnes and its metabolites activate THBS1 expression in macrophages via the TLR signaling pathway.

Bona Fide Intersegmental Plane Hepatectomy Along the Glissonean Branches (BIPHG)
ABSTRACT This review traces the author's personal journey over three decades in the evolution of liver resection techniques, culminating in the proposal of the Bona Fide Intersegmental Plane Hepatectomy Along Glissonean Branches (BIPHG). Beginning with pioneering experiences in laparoscopic and robotic liver surgeries, the author highlights key ...

Unlike deceased‐donor liver transplantation, living‐donor liver transplantation (LDLT) for Budd‐Chiari Syndrome (BCS) presents distinctive challenges in hepatic venous (HV)‐outflow reconstruction because diseased HV–inferior vena cava (IVC) cannot be entirely replaced with healthy donor vessels.
