During development, the oxygen‐sensitive transcription factor Zeb2 restrains astrocyte proliferation and maturation to ensure balanced retinal angiogenesis. In disease, it promotes the neurotoxic A1 astrocyte phenotype and inflammation, thereby promoting reparative revascularization over pathological neovascularization.

Plasma levels of CCL11, CCL4 and CCL3 in female FM patients with varCCL11 or varCCL4.
A-C, CCL11, CCL4, and CCL3 levels in female healthy controls (Ctrl, n = 48) vs female FM patients with wild type CCL11 (n = 19) or var CCL11 (n = 14). D-F, CCL4, CCL3 and CCL11 levels in female healthy controls (Ctrl, n = 48) vs wild type CCL4 (n = 49 ...

Structural insights into tyrosine sulfation of CCR5 by human tyrosylprotein sulfotransferase‐1
Structural analysis of human tyrosylprotein sulfotransferase‐1 (hTPST1) bound to a CCR5 N‐terminal peptide reveals how hTPST1 recognizes the Tyr3 sulfation site. Structure‐guided models of additional CCR5 sulfation states and full‐length assemblies provide a framework for understanding CCR5 tyrosine sulfation, a post‐translational modification relevant

CCR3 is a specific marker of anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) cells. ALCL cells also express CCL11, a ligand for CCR3, leading to the hypothesis that CCL11 may play an autocrine role in ALCL progression.

Tocilizumab for severe and refractory mucous membrane pemphigoid
Elevated IL‐6 levels identified in mucous membrane pemphigoid support IL‐6 blockade, with tocilizumab demonstrating clinical benefit in nine patients with severe and refractory mucous membrane pemphigoid. Abstract Background Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) is a rare autoimmune blistering disease involving mucous membranes with a potentially ...

Innovations in Obesity Treatment: Beyond Adipose Tissue Dysfunction
Obesity drives chronic inflammation, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and cancer development through adipocyte dysfunction. Addressing this multisystemic disorder requires integrated strategies beyond diet and exercise, such as thermogenesis activation via menthol or capsinoids and appetite control through GLP‐1/GIP agonists and neuromodulation to ...
