Background The CD133 transmembrane protein is a well-recognized stem cell marker that has been used to isolate putative cancer stem cell populations from gastric cancers (GCs).

ABSTRACT Clinical trials combining radiotherapy (RT) with immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) have shown improved outcomes in only a fraction of patients, and optimal strategies for integrating these modalities remain under intense investigation. With a few exceptions, phase III combination trials have yielded disappointing results.

CD133 Stimulates Cell Proliferation via the Upregulation of Amphiregulin in Melanoma
CD133, a cancer stem cell (CSC) marker in tumors, including melanoma, is associated with tumor recurrence, chemoresistance, and metastasis. Patient-derived melanoma cell lines were transduced with a Tet-on vector expressing CD133, generating doxycycline (

Objectives Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common pediatric solid tumor derived from the sympathetic nervous system. MYCN is amplified in nearly half of patients with NB, and its association with rapid disease progression and poor outcome is controversial.

An improved and simplified method enables the generation of primary tumor cells and tumoroids from the same tissue sample with minimal input, applicable universally to both intracranial and spinal tumors. Comparative analysis of drug screening results with patient follow‐up data allows for the assessment of individual drug sensitivity.

ABSTRACT Background Exosomes are naturally secreted nanovesicles with high biocompatibility, low immunogenicity, and the ability to traverse biological barriers, making them attractive theragnostic carriers. When engineered to present tumor‐specific antibodies and to deliver antibody‐drug conjugates (ADCs), they may enhance selective targeting of ...

Mechanism of ORC1 Regulating Cancer Stemness and Cisplatin Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer
Elevated ORC1 expression in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) simultaneously activates cancer stemness and epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). Upregulation of stemness‐associated factors (NANOG, LGR5, CD133+CD44+ CSCs) and EMT transcription factors (SNAI1, SNAI2, TWIST1) synergistically induce MDR1 overexpression. Increased MDR1 ultimately drives

First‐trimester trophoblast EVs are enriched in anti‐inflammatory proteins, lipids, and immunoregulatory miRNAs. EVT‐EVs reprogram monocytes toward a pro‐resolving phenotype and restore immune homeostasis in RDEB, supporting their potential as offering a scalable off‐the‐shelf therapy for chronic inflammatory diseases.

ABSTRACT Umbilical cord blood transplantation is a viable source of stem cells due to accessibility and low incidence of chronic graft‐versus‐host disease despite human‐leukocyte‐antigen mismatching. Disadvantages of low stem cell dose in larger recipients include delayed immune reconstitution, graft rejection, and mortality.
